Your take on this project

Latest public update

CDOT's project page prints a Program Cost of $165 million for the CO 119 work between Boulder and Longmont, and a timeline of fall 2024 to spring 2027. CDOT's monthly dashboard for August 2026 reports two construction contracts: $74.27M paid to date against $96.91M in current contract value (our sums of the two contracts' printed figures). Those are payments on two contracts, not the project's whole cost, and this site does not add them to the $165 million. A third construction package, whose notice to proceed CDOT dates 3 September 2026, is not in these figures.

  • CDOT prints a $165 million program cost and two construction contracts worth $96.91M. What else does the program include?
  • When will CDOT report payments on the third construction package?

Total cost and spending

Total project cost$165M

Total cost & funding are drawn from the official record(s) listed below.

Paid to contractors: $74.27M of $96.91M in current contracts. CALC CDOT’s monthly dashboards print what has been paid to the contractor to date on all two of this project’s contracts. The two totals are our sums of those figures: $66.79M + $7.48M = $74.27M, and $76.66M + $20.25M = $96.91M. They are payments on those contracts, not the project’s whole spend: anything paid outside them is in neither figure, and nobody publishes that. CDOT’s latest published dashboard: August 2026.

Pacing

Money paid against contract time used, from CDOT's monthly dashboards for August 2026, the latest in the record. CALC

  • Construction package 1 Paid 87.1% of the contract with 88.6% of its time used: 1.5 percentage points behind an even pace, $1.12M less.
  • Construction package 2 Paid 36.9% of the contract with 78.9% of its time used: 41.9 percentage points behind an even pace, $8.49M less.

An even pace is our baseline, not CDOT's plan. A gap is a question to ask, not a verdict, and it compares money with time, not with the work done.

The money is published; the names are held. Each row below carries the contract value, what has been paid to date so far as it is published, and our confidence grade — the same figures as always, from the same official records. What is withheld is the vendor's name, the record link that names it, and the campaign-finance search that sat beside it. That is a deliberate decision taken pending legal review, not a figure we could not find: a blank cell would have said the opposite. What WITHHELD means
