Ask the data
Find a figure.
See what stands behind it.
Every measure this site has checked is on this page. Pick a subject, then pick a measure. You get the number, plainly labeled, and how it was reached and which document it came from, alongside the other things known about it. If a figure was never published, this tells you that instead.

You can find. You cannot search.
- Typing narrows a list. It never answers. The box filters the names of measures that exist. You still pick the one you want, and you can see what you picked.
- You can only reach a measure that exists. A box that answers has to guess what you meant, and its confident wrong guesses look just like its right ones. Nothing guesses here.
- Nothing you type is sent anywhere. The whole checked dataset is already in this page. No request goes out when you type or choose.
- A number on its own is what this site argues against. So every figure arrives with its label, and a way through to the rest.
- Blanks are places you can go. Where a figure was never published you can still open it and read why. A gap is a finding, not a dead end.
- It works with the script turned off. Every record is in the page as it is served. Without script you get all of them, one after another, and a link to a measure still lands on it.
Nothing you type or pick here is sent anywhere. The whole checked dataset is already in this page, so choosing a measure makes no request. No cookies, no identifiers, and nothing you type is ever recorded. Like every page on this site, this one counts page views. The methodology page sets out exactly what is counted.
